Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was established in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943. They began as a small machine shop in the beginning hiring 4 people. Sales for their first year of operation amounted to about $60,000. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and various components. During five years of operation, the business had expanded to 40 staff and their yearly sales volume had increased to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. Nowadays, Cascade is one of the top worldwide producers in the material handling industry.

Manufacture and design of the company's first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of new business possibilities. During the last 60 years, the material handling industry has developed into a very complex area and Cascade has proudly performed a part on this growth. Cascade currently continues to develop as the premier provider of forklift accessories and different associated products. In the nineteen fifties, Cascade began designing, manufacturing and advertising hydraulic accessories. Construction was completed in 1956 on a brand new office to accommodate all office and plant operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's present headquarters. Subsequent to 15 years of business, total employees reached a hundred and eighty staff and sales had reached nearly 2.3 million dollars.

A second manufacturing plant was built in 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's preliminary move into the international world of the material handling industry while the company established interest in Australia, the Netherlands and England.

The business altered its name to Cascade Corporation in the year 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with a preliminary offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. The company has expanded its production plants within the United States with locations in Portland, Oregon, Springfield, Ohio, and Warner Robins, Georgia. Cascade products are fabricated globally thanks to lots of subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European head office. This plant is designed to be the essential customer service centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in 1996 and 1997 after acquiring five corporations, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the international best in forks.
